Had company lunch at Churchill Room last week. We had the semi-buffet lunch which was pretty good. For the starter, there is a buffet selection of salmon sashimi, sushi, salad, tartare, roasted veggie, bread, soup etc. I had the potato and leek soup which was really comfy to drink on a cold rainy afternoon.
For the main, there is a choice of beef, fish, duck, pasta and vegetarian pasta. I went for the steak.
I had my steak medium rare. It is pretty good and plenty of gravy to go with the meat and smooth mashed potato. Underneath the bed of spinach is roasted artichoke which tastes good too.
My colleague had the duck confit in red wine jus which is good too.
For the dessert, there is a selection of ice cream, fruits and cake from the buffet station.
The food is quite good and the price is very reasonable. No wonder my boss likes to dine at Tanglin Club. =)
