Ipoh Lou Yau Bean Sprouts Chicken

chicken rice

Pakcik and I were at Vivocity the other day. It was dinner time and every restaurant was packed. We finally found a table at this small eatery at basement 2 of the mall that sells Ipoh Chicken Rice.

Feeling hungry, we ordered half a chicken to share. The meat was really tender but the skin was a bit too fatty. I love the chilli sauce and the minced ginger which made the rice taste so good. The only thing that I don’t like is the bone. It would be better if the chicken is deboned.

Pakcik had the chicken curry kway tiao instead of rice. The curry gravy was watery but flavourful. Kway tiao was extremely smooth.

It was an enjoyable but calories-packed dinner. Oh well, yummy food is always fattening, so shan’t count the calories~

Quick Dinner

Salmon Curry Rice

I am so glad that there’s a Korean food place in the new NUH medical centre basement 1 (beside Kent Ridge MRT station). It’s those kind of express Korean food which we normally see in the food court. My colleague and I have been eating the hotplate spicy chicken with rice whenever we go there. This time round, I decided to try the Salmon curry rice. The salmon is not bad but the curry is a bit blend. For the price I pay, I am not going to complain too much. =)
Still prefer the spicy chicken and rice.

Miam Miam

I have added Miam Miam to my favourite food list after visiting it a few weeks ago. Reasons that I like this place are:
1) Love the decor
2) Friendly staff
3) Yummy food
4) Awesome matcha!

Miam Miam

I like the natural light shining into the place.

Miam Miam Spaghetti

I had the Miam Miam Spaghetti ($15.80). Love it lots! The al dente spaghetti mixed with toasted sesame seeds, yolk lava, spinach, mushroom and sausage. Mmmmm… so yummy~
Minus the tomato and mini eggplant, I would give it a 8/10 score.

Riz Au Curry

Pakcik had the Riz Au Curry ($14.80). Melted cheese in the rich Japanese curry and a soft cooked egg over the fluffy baked rice. That’s so sinfully addictive! Plus, the pot keeps it warm till the last bit of rice.
I swear I would order that in the next visit!

I love the Iced Matcha Latte with Matcha Softee ($8.80) too. The smooth matcha softee melts slowly into the matcha latte, protecting the latte from being diluted by the ice. Yum yum~

I will definitely go back to Miam Miam again soon!
