Week 35 Day 1

Hooray! It’s week 35! 2 more weeks to full term (safe zone)~ I weigh 63.4kg in the morning.

I have been feeling hungry more frequently since yesterday. Maybe baby is going through growth spurt? 

Morning: I had a cup of Milo and 3 pieces of soda crackers and a bottle of bird nest.

Lunch: I cooked minced pork porridge with egg and wolfberries. I ended up finishing 2 bowls of it. That was about 3/4 cup of uncooked rice grains.   

Tea time: I had a glass of milk with 4 teaspoons of oats and 2 teaspoons of Chia seeds.

Dinner: Chicken cutlet and Japanese curry rice and an apple.

Supper: A glass of Meiji chocolate milk.

I think my weight will increase a lot tomorrow. 

Samyang Fried Spicy Chicken Noodles

Some time ago, I wrote about this very spicy Korean instant noodles which almost “killed” me. Guess what? I found it in the supermarket already! Both Lotte mart and NTUC Xtra sells this Samyang Fried Spicy Chicken Noodles. They come in packs of 5 for around $6.90 (in NTUC Xtra) which you need to cook in a pot of water, and also the cup noodles form which costs about $2 (in Lotte mart).

This is more convenient because I don’t need to wash another pot after cooking the noodles. I simply need to add hot water in, cover and wait for 3-4 mins, then drain off the water.

There is a hot sauce pack (the one that kills) and a garnish pack (seaweed and white sesame).

Add in both the seasoning packs to the drained noodles. Then stir well.

So here comes the bowl of extremely spicy noodles. I would advise to prepare a cup of milk to put out the fire while you eat. For me, I shared it with Pakcik because I just couldn’t finish it all. Both our lips swell and we sweat profusely.
Oh, by the way, the other side of your GI tract will be on fire the next day.

Chicken Rice Bento

This was one of the lunch which I brought to work. I cooked rice with the Hainanese chicken rice paste, then added luncheon meat, sunny side up and veggies to it. This was prepared the night before and steamed using my electric lunch box at work the next day. Notice that I don’t pre-cook my veggies because I am steaming them the next day. Anyway, it was so fragrant that my colleagues were drooling over it. =)

Who says chicken rice must come with chicken? Luncheon meat (Spam) tastes even better!
