Forgot to weigh myself this morning. Yesterday was 62.6kg. Tummy felt so heavy and tight.
Went to have steamboat at Hai Di Lao (IMM branch) with Cousin Elaine yesterday. Been so long since I last had it, plus it’s Elaine’s virgin trip there. She is very impressed with the excellent service there. The awesome staff even put a back rest for me when she saw that I’m pregnant.
We ordered Mala soup and tomato soup. The handmade noodles taste best in the tomato soup.
I highly recommend this whole pomfret fish ($19). It’s very fresh and sweet.
First time trying the mozzarella cheese beef balls. The staff told us to cook it for 10 mins. After boiling for 10 mins, the beef ball grew twice its size and the cheese melted inside. Taste not bad~
Elaine had this fried rice which she don’t recommend. It’s kinda bland. So just go for the handmade noodles.
I love the beancurd dessert so much that I ate 3 bowls of it. It’s free flow at $4/person (including sauces, fruits, and other desserts). Both of us like the free flow winter melon tea ($3/person) as well. I guess a lot of customers ordered that too because it ran out at around 8pm. We are only left with soya bean milk and herbal tea to choose from after that.
Some people say that preggies shouldn’t drink winter melon tea because it’s too cooling. But I don’t care! I’m already in third trimester and my body is burning so this little cooling drink can’t beat me!
Halfway through the dinner my tummy felt like it’s going to burst. Lol! Too little space left for my stomach to expand since Baby occupies more area now. Baby was kicking so much too. I guess she was excited to taste the mala soup.
Having ate so much yesterday night, I only had a fried egg sandwich and Milo this morning. And for lunch, I only drank 500ml of avocado milk.
Bought 6 avocados at only $9.90 at Giant supermarket last night. So I have 2 weeks’ supply of good fats for Baby now.
Weighed myself this morning. I am 56.3kg. That’s another 300g from Monday’s feast. Had spicy hotpot with SZ and Christee at the famous Hai Di Lao and I kinda food overdosed.
I was so full after dinner that baby kicked to protest. Maybe the stomach is taking up too much space and “invaded” baby’s swimming pool area.
And because I drank too much of the chicken soup from the hotpot, I had bad water retention the next day. All the sodium accumulated made me swell like a pig. LOL… Had to drink plenty of water to flush it out on Tuesday.
Today’s breakfast is slightly heavier. Usually I will have a cup of hot Milo and a packet of soda crackers. Today I indulged in Chicken Kway Tiao and soya bean milk~
Yep, I am drinking soya bean milk. Used to hate it before pregnancy, but now I find it acceptable and sometimes might crave for it. All thanks to the cup of non-genetically-modified soya bean milk I had in Taipei last month. Still can’t forget the yummy taste of it. Shall have it again when I travel there in 2 weeks’ time.
Last night I could sleep. Baby kicked a lot when I was tossing and turning in bed. Is it kicking because I can’t sleep or is the kicking keeping me awake? I don’t know. Ended up watching cartoon video on the phone till I dosed off. The Husband had no idea… He was enjoying his deep sleep. *Hormone imbalance again*
Went to Pitchstop Cafe in NTU with cousin’s family. It was empty when we reached there. Is it school holiday now? I am too old to know the school calendar now… sigh…
This is the current menu for reference.
We placed our orders and the food was then served to us.
For $2 top-up of the main items, we could get a mini soup and a drink. I like the creamy mushroom.
Having seen so many pictures of the chicken dijonnaise in IG, both cousin and I order it as our mains. Love the thin and crispy batter and the juicy chicken cutlet. Yummy~
Uncle had the Fish and wedges. He said the fish is juicy and well seasoned.
Auntie had the spicy seafood marinara. She added quite a bit of chilli flakes and tabasco sauce so I didn’t get to taste the original flavor.
Overall, the food is not bad and the price is very reasonable. Good for students to hang around and have lunch.
